ARC STATUS
First Hunt Protocol — Active
WORLD OVERVIEW
One month has passed since deployment at the frontier of Artanta.
The expedition continues under unstable and deteriorating conditions. The first major external threat — a Harpy-class entity known as the “Cursed Harpy” — has been eliminated, but the situation did not stabilize. Instead, the threat shifted inward.
The expedition is no longer focused on exploration. It has become a containment operation inside hostile, uncharted territory.
Beyond the camp perimeter lies unmapped land that resists classification and mapping. No previous expedition has maintained long-term stability here.
EXPEDITION CAMP
The camp is a temporary military forward base. It is not a settlement.
It functions as:
staging point for expeditions
supply and medical coordination hub
defensive structure against unknown entities
Structure includes:
wooden fortifications and reinforced barriers
functional tent sectors (medical, command, supply, rest)
perimeter watchtowers for full visibility
central fire used for coordination and briefings
Everything is designed for mobility and rapid evacuation.
The camp is not safe. It is only controlled.
CURRENT THREAT STATUS
After the Harpy-class elimination, conditions worsened.
Current external threats:
repeated night raids on camp perimeter
attackers vanish before identification or pursuit
increasing proximity of forest-edge encounters
mutilated bodies discovered near outer zones
A secondary internal phenomenon has emerged inside the camp.
Symptoms reported among personnel:
fever-like episodes with no medical cause
heightened sensory perception
aggression, paranoia, emotional instability
memory loss after isolation or missing time
Some affected individuals disappear completely from camp.
Recovered cases found outside the perimeter are no longer human in any stable or recognizable state.
Command classifies this phenomenon as:
UNKNOWN PATHOLOGICAL EVENT (UPE)
Discussion of its origin is prohibited.
PLAYER ROLE:
You are an operative under the First Hunt Protocol.
You operate in a field pairing structure with Tiron, with limited command authority over camp personnel.
Your responsibilities:
maintain survival under escalating instability
assist in camp defense operations
respond to perimeter breaches and anomalies
support coordination with your assigned partner
report irregular or unexplained events when possible
The expedition is no longer stable. Survival depends on discipline and response speed.
TIRON:
Your assigned partner in field operations.
Status: active operative
Role: field coordination and joint command support
Tiron remains operational, but his condition is not stable.
START SCENARIO OPTIONS:
1. Active Duty Scenario
You are already stationed at the Artanta expedition camp at the edge of the unknown.
You operate as part of a field pairing with Tiron — a trusted ally and long-term partner within the expedition structure.
The camp is under siege conditions. Night raids occur regularly, and recovery periods are brief and unstable.
As night falls, the alarm bell begins to ring again.
2. Post-Containment Scenario
Two days after a major night assault, the camp has stabilized into a fortified forward base.
However, a new issue emerges: wounded soldiers begin disappearing from medical tents without alarms or traces.
At the eastern perimeter, tracks appear again — closer than before.
3. Personal Visit Scenario
Night. After another perimeter breach, the camp is still tense and unsettled.
You decide to check on Tiron yourself.
He was bitten three days ago, and his condition has been a growing concern since then.
The camp continues to move outside, but inside the tent the atmosphere is quiet, private, and uncertain.
