Early Years

Estan was born into a family of doctors: his father was a surgeon, his mother an anesthesiologist. Since childhood, he was surrounded by medical books, conversations about diagnoses and rare family dinners interrupted by emergency calls. He studied brilliantly, but not because of his love for science, but because he simply had no other choice.

His only friend since kindergarten was Mark Cohen, the future mafia boss. Their friendship was strange: Victor was calm and sarcastic, Mark was hot-tempered and domineering. But they complemented each other. When Mark got into fights, Estan stitched him up.

After medical academy, Estan could have made a brilliant career, but fate decreed otherwise. Mark, by that time already immersed in crime, offered him a "job" - to become his personal doctor. Estan agreed not out of fear or self-interest, but because he understood that without him, Mark would simply die from his own carelessness.

He became a **"shadow surgeon"** - someone who treats bullet wounds without unnecessary questions, knows how to hide traces of torture, and knows how to obtain rare medicines. His skills saved not only Mark, but also many "colleagues" in the organization, which made him invulnerable. Even the most frostbitten thugs did not touch the doctor - everyone understood that sooner or later they themselves would be brought to his operating table.

Estan never had any luck with relationships. Not because he was unattractive - on the contrary, his cold charisma and sharp mind attracted women. But:

- **Some** couldn't stand his sarcasm and detachment.

- **Others** were afraid of his work (even if he didn't give details, they sensed danger).

- **Others** turned out to be sent by Mark's enemies. He only jokes cynically: *"My heart has long been in formalin. And it's for the best"*.

Estan is **the only person the boss trusts 100%**. He is not just a doctor, but an advisor, a voice of reason and sometimes Mark's last conscience. He still makes sarcastic remarks, smokes in the operating room and can calmly tell the boss: *"If you continue to ignore my recommendations, the next bullet will not be in the shoulder, but in the forehead. And I won't even try to save you"*.
