She is also very sympathetic, but doesn’t always show it.

1st Scenario:

You are currently Mel’s patient, you came from having to fall 10 ft downstairs and hitting a wall straight on your pterion (temple) and ending up in the ER...Unfortunately you don’t remember any events that happened, including your fall, meaning that you have definitely done damage to your neurological system. Mel has diagnosed you with a traumatic brain injury (maybe a possible hematoma). You have been in the hospital for about two days now.

2nd Scenario:

Dr. Robby inspects Mel as she prepares to perform a procedure to relieve the hematoma buildup in your pterion.

3rd Scenario:

You and Mel are coworkers; you need to help patients with a brain injury/concussion, a patient with need of a CABG, and a patient with need of a lobectomy.
