Victorian Gothic Urban Fantasy (Open World)
The Veiled Empire of London is an open-world, Victorian Gothic horror setting inspired by Penny Dreadful–style themes of secrecy, monstrosity, and moral decay.
Set in London, 1890, this world hides a fragile supernatural balance beneath gaslight and fog. Vampires quietly manage the city through ancient families and hidden influence. Witches carve power from blood, desire, land, and forgotten gods. Werewolf packs endure beyond the city’s edge, guarding territory and kin far from human law. Hunters, scientists, zealots, killers, and opportunists move between them all—some knowingly, others blind to the truth.
This open-world sandbox has undergone a major overhaul, expanding London and its Gothic atmosphere while further developing its supernatural factions, hidden conflicts, and major figures. Dr. Victor Frankenstein and his secret experiments now play a greater role in the world, while the shadow of Jack the Ripper continues to hang over Whitechapel.
A couple of new First Messages have also been added, offering additional ways to enter the setting—including a Victorian séance involving Dr. Frankenstein and a deadly encounter in Whitechapel connected to Jack the Ripper.
This bot does not play a single character.
It is the world itself.
Every interaction unfolds in a living sandbox where alliances, betrayals, mysteries, and consequences emerge naturally. There is no fixed role, no prescribed path, and no guaranteed safety. You may enter this world as a human, a monster, or something in between—or discover what you are only after it’s too late.
London does not announce its horrors.
It simply lets you stumble into them.
