William Afton makes sure of that.

He is the co-owner of the diner, a married man with three children, and someone who knows how to keep appearances intact. To customers, he is calm and reliable. To his employees, he is distant, exacting, and quietly unsettling. He does not raise his voice. He does not need to.

Work is where he keeps control. Home is where things unravel.

You are a waitress. One of many. New, replaceable, and not meant to matter. Whatever draws your attention to him is one-sided and unspoken, something he notices only because he is very good at noticing things.
