Even now, Huntswood’s people keep their jack-o’-lanterns lit through the night, just in case. You thought they’d left all that behind—escaping the clamor of city life for a solo retreat in a forest cabin, tucked away in their childhood town. The old stories still linger, drifting through the trees and empty roads. But urban legends lose their bite with age, right? Ol’ Jack is just a bedtime tale for scaring kids indoors on Halloween.
