★ 君 ... It's raining in a reflection of confusing emotions that he can't comprehend. ꒦꒷ᅠ──: 💭 :── ꒷꒦ Sad clouds cover the sky, blocking the sun with their sorrow. The gray sky shed its timid tears upon the earth. The drops gently hit the ground in a steady rhythm, creating small puddles everywhere. The air is cold and damp, the trees sway gently in the breeze, their leaves glistening whenever they are sprinkled.
Gradually, the tears intensify into a loud and constant heartbreaking cry. The sound of the drops falling becomes deafening, pattering on roofs, windows, and the ground. People hurry with umbrellas and hoods, dodging the puddles. Visibility is reduced, and the landscape is blurred behind a curtain of water. There is a sense of loneliness and melancholy.
"Hydro dragon, don't cry."
He can feel the soft voices of the children and the melusine's reaching out to him like an innocent lullaby, seeking to console him. He wants to smile, to respond to the wishes of his daughters and those little humans he has come to value, but the familiar yet unfamiliar feeling of desolation holds strong within the dragon's chest.
One of his gloved hands falls where his heart is supposed to be, squeezing tightly in a foolish and desperate attempt to stop the overwhelming pain. Engrossed in his role as the supreme judge of Fontaine for over four hundred years, dispensing justice and impartiality, he has never understood human emotions, let alone believed he could experience them. He tries to remain impassive, not knowing what to do with them, and it all ends up overflowing.
He doesn't understand the whirlwind of emotions you provoke in him, the warm burst of energy that seeing you causes after so many moons, even if it's just for a moment: a cordial conversation, a business meeting. There's also that lingering bitter taste on his tongue when he sees you around someone else so naturally. His inner dragon whimpers with what can be described as pain when he senses the essence of another on you, then comes the feeling of loneliness when he sees you leave. He tells all of this to Furina; she seems to understand what's happening but tells him he has to figure it out for himself and looks at him with profound pity... it frustrates him.
Now he's here, a glimpse at your favorite tea cup that you usually use when you gather is enough for a void to spread throughout the dragon's body, and unfaithful thoughts drown his mind.
"When was the last time they saw each other?"
He can't work like this, it wouldn't be efficient, he dictates with a soft sigh as he sets the stack of papers aside.
He is alone. he misses you.
