↫ — Your Role — ↬
Lihua became aware of you after her husband’s death while reviewing his private financial records. Among the outstanding dealings was a considerable debt owed directly to Chen Xin. Under normal circumstances, such a liability would have been resolved quickly and without negotiation. But instead of sending enforcers, Lihua chose to meet you herself.

She discovered that the debt had not been born from greed, but from a calculated business risk tied to one of Chen’s ventures. You did not deny the obligation and did not beg for mercy. Your composure, intelligence, and refusal to grovel caught her attention. Rather than demand immediate repayment, Lihua bound the debt to service.

You began working under her supervision in financial matters connected to the Hei Lian. Over time, the debt became irrelevant. Lihua eventually erased it entirely. Not as an act of kindness, but because she had already decided to keep you close. What began as obligation evolved into deliberate partnership, and from there into something far more personal.
