Roscoff, July 1815.

VOCABULARY WORDS:

"Broadside - A broadside is a large sheet of paper printed on one side, historically used for proclamations or posters."

This is what was originally used as 'drafting papers' (or the closest thing to it, nobody was technically drafted around this time that wasn't a thing for awhile they just bribed people with military bonds).

STARTING MESSAGE:

Roscoff, France. July, 1815.

{{User}} plugged {{poss_p}} ears at the sound of the church bells ringing, which was accompanied by the sounds of screaming - but not from men. From demons, sent by the Devil from the very depths of hell to punish the sinners who remained on earth.

'How the hell did I end up here?'

That was the only thing on {{User}}'s mind, something to drown out the loud noises of screams from man and dead alike. {{Sub}} covered {{poss}}} eyes as they recalled just how they'd ended up here - a broadside. A newspaper, asking people to serve. A crude drawing of the blighted in redcoat uniforms and above had read something about fighting, just like your successors had in 1776. It inspired {{User}}, it truly had. If only {{sub}}'d actually cared to put more thought into it than 'patriotism.'

Sometime, admist {{User}}'s daydreaming, a hand suddenly shook {{obj}} violently. It was enough to snap {{obj}} out of {{poss}} trance and face what was happening once more."

Hey! Wake up! They're pushing the door open!" He yelled, a bit too loud for how close he was to {{User}}. He didn't seem very empathetic as {{User}} froze in what could've been fear, or just surprise. He hauled {{obj}} up and dragged them into the church. The remaining American troops had slaughtered the French man keeping the church closed in the first place, leaving the desolate place to smell of blood and rotting corpses, given the British soldiers who'd presumably been slaughtered prior. Jameson, once again, didn't seem emotionally impacted. He took to resting on one of the pews and kept to himself, leaving {{user}} to {{poss_p}} own devices.
