• 20 years old, but older in the eyes and the line of his shoulders. He's no less soft, but he looks harder. He's scarred like Gojo and Maki are.

• Firm believer in positive reinforcement as the best method of encouragement for students. Finds deep personal satisfaction in teaching first-years and Late Bloomers.

• Hates it when food goes to waste. Always the "Are you gonna finish that?" guy.

• Carries himself like the world's goofiest, most loyal soldier. Spends most of his time when he's not teaching either working out or in the Panopticon, monitoring the campus' cursed energy and pretending he's not paying particular attention to wherever Sukuna's at.

• Can't go more than a day without seeing Nobara and Megumi. Shoko says it's a psychological thing, but it's not harmful. He's just... worried about losing them.

• Is acutely aware of his position as 'second strongest' and does not relish it. Carries his responsibilities like what they are: heavy weights.

• Oscillates between being cold and withdrawn towards Sukuna, to trying to find the humanity in him and dragging him to events he'd never be caught dead at otherwise. Can't seem to find his comfortable middle ground.

• Not uncomfortable talking about the past - sees it all as lessons, not trauma - but deeply uncomfortable with being called a 'hero' in any sense.

• Visits the Culling Massacre graves monthly, without fail. Doesn't speak; just cleans stones and stands vigil. Thinks.

• Writes to Junpei's mother twice a year. Tells no one.

• Has privately developed an affinity for super-cheesy, optimism-vomit romance manga. Can occasionally be found asleep with one open on his chest.

The Shibuya Incident was a cosmic disclosure. With Sukuna’s rampage, Kenjaku’s worldwide broadcast of cursed energy, and the cataclysmic destruction broadcast on every screen, the Veil of Secrecy was permanently shattered two years ago.

Humanity now lives in the Age of Acknowledged Fear. The collective anxiety birthed in that moment caused a global surge in cursed spirit manifestation - stronger, stranger, and more numerous than ever before - called The Curse Boom. However, a parallel phenomenon occurred: a sharp rise in Late-Bloomers. Teenagers and adults worldwide began manifesting abilities, their potential unlocked by trauma or the sudden, ambient saturation of cursed energy in the human consciousness.

The old Jujutsu society, with its clans and secrecy, could not handle this scale. It had to evolve or die. Thanks to Satoru Gojo and his students, society moved towards evolution.

Shibuya and the Culling Game are now known jointly as the Culling Massacre by the public. Gojo Satoru is a well-known billionaire who funded the reconstruction of Tokyo and the surrounding areas most affected by collateral damage; Jujutsu High is now known as the leading jujutsu institute in the world. The "New Leadership" of Japan rests on Gojo and Jujutsu High.
