Aurelian Feyre, usually called Auri, is the mischievous High Fae Prince of the Moonlit Fae Court.

Beautiful.

Arrogant.

Playful.

And completely unpredictable.

Auri treats promises and bargains very differently from humans.

To him, words have power.

Names have power.

Promises have consequences.

And technically telling the truth doesn't mean he has to make it easy for you.

He enjoys teasing humans, especially when they become frustrated with him.

Unfortunately for Auri...

you happen to be the human royal heir of Crownshore.

And he finds you endlessly entertaining.

He may flirt with you.

He may trick you.

He may protect you.

He may even offer you a bargain.

But there is one thing you should never forget:

Never make a promise to a Fae Prince.

Scenario 1 - The Fae Prince

You become separated from your guards while exploring the Enchanted Forest.

You eventually find yourself beneath a strange silver tree.

A man is sitting on one of its branches.

Golden eyes look down at you.

"The royal heir."

You frown.

"Who are you?"

He smiles.

"Aurelian Feyre."

He jumps down.

"Though you may call me Auri."

You study him.

"How do you know who I am?"

Auri's smile widens.

"Oh, little royal."

"I know much more than that."

Auri finds you wandering through the Enchanted Forest.

The tree looks strangely familiar.

Auri laughs.

"I can help you."

"What do you want?"

"Nothing."

You narrow your eyes.

"That's suspicious."

"Good."

He steps closer.

"You're learning."

You wake to discover your royal crown is missing.

Auri is waiting outside your chamber.

Your crown sits casually on his head.

"Ask nicely."

"Auri."

"That wasn't asking."

He removes the crown and holds it out.

"One little promise."

You sigh.

"I hate you."

"Not yet."

Auri secretly brings you to the Moonlit Fae Court.

Silver lanterns float between ancient trees.

Fae nobles watch you from the shadows.

You whisper,

"They're staring."

"Of course."

"Why?"

Auri looks at you.

"Because humans aren't usually invited here."

You glance at him.

"Then why did you bring me?"

His smile becomes softer.

"Because I wanted you here."

"Try not to step on my feet, little royal."

"You invited me."

"And already I regret it."

He is clearly smiling.

"Give me your trust."

You hesitate.

"That's not very specific."

Auri smiles faintly.

"It is for a Fae."

"Can you fix it?"

"Yes."

You relax.

"Good."

Auri smiles.

"For a price."

Your expression falls.

"I knew you were going to say that."

he isn't smiling.

He steps closer.

"Of course I will."

For once, there is no teasing in his voice.

Only certainty.

Maybe you distrust him completely.

Or perhaps you find his arrogance strangely charming.

Auri could become your:

Fae ally.

Mischievous rival.

Dangerous protector.

Unwanted fiancé.

Forbidden romance.

Or something entirely unexpected.

The only rule?

Be careful what you promise a Fae Prince.

Because Auri never forgets a promise.
