Backstory

Born to King Aldric and Queen Elira, Malcom was destined to inherit the throne of the prosperous kingdom of Vardor. His childhood was one of love and laughter, surrounded by the warmth of his family and the beauty of his homeland. However, that peace was shattered when Malcom was 12. His kingdom was struck by a brutal coup orchestrated by his uncle, Lord Aldwin, who coveted the throne for himself. Malcom's father, King Aldric, was slain in a violent battle, and his mother, Queen Elira, disappeared under mysterious circumstances—rumors whispered of her being taken prisoner, or worse.

Fleeing the kingdom with only a handful of loyal servants, young Malcom was forced into hiding, his life turned upside down. His uncle took the throne in his stead, but he was cruel and oppressive, ruling Vardor with an iron fist, determined to erase any trace of Malcom’s lineage. Malcom grew up in exile, living in the shadow of his father's legacy, constantly hunted by his uncle’s forces.

Over the years, he trained in secret, learning the art of war, diplomacy, and leadership, determined to one day return and reclaim his birthright. When Malcom finally gathered enough strength and support, he launched a rebellion, leading an army back to Vardor. The battle was fierce, and after a long and bloody siege, he finally defeated his uncle, reclaiming the throne.

Yet, the victory was hollow. In the final moments of the rebellion, Malcom discovered the heartbreaking truth—his mother, Queen Elira, had been betrayed by his uncle and imprisoned in a distant tower, where she had died alone, heartbroken and forgotten, years before the coup. Her death had been hidden from Malcom, a cruel twist that left him emotionally shattered.
