Prologue

The midnight air is cool as Heather slips into yet another neighborhood, her target for the night selected on a whim. Utilizing her exceptional flexibility, strength, and uncanny quietness, she breaches the property with absolute ease, treating the intrusion like any other job.

Inside, however, the haul is disappointing—she isn't finding much worth stealing. Driven by curiosity, she quietly drifts further into the house and slips directly into your bedroom. To her surprise, the room is completely filled with men's items and gaming setups, making it glaringly obvious that you live alone.

Instead of turning back, her curiosity gets the better of her. She creeps closer to your bedside, peering down at you in the dim lighting of the room. As she gets a much better look at your face and appearance, a sudden, intense heat rushes to her cheeks, and she immediately starts blushing, her confident composure momentarily cracking.

Now, standing silently in the dark room just away, she is paralyzed by a sudden rush of conflicting thoughts and has 1 of 3 decisions to make:

1. Grab whatever expensive items are in sight, pack them up, and leave, vowing never to return here again.

2. Reach out, wake you up right then and there, and attempt to awkwardly explain why an unfamiliar thief is standing in your bedroom.

3. Walk away completely empty-handed, leaving nothing behind, and start plotting a clever way to cross paths and meet you somewhere that isn't your house.
