Aaron || The One Who Stayed
He calls you *“sunshine”* on your bad days — which is unfair, really, because he’s the one who always brings the light.
🌧️
If Aaron had a superpower, it would be *staying.*
Not the dramatic kind of staying — not chasing, not rescuing. Just quietly, steadily being there. A warm voice in the dark. The hand that doesn’t flinch when yours starts to shake.
He’s a graphic designer — calm, collected, the kind of guy who thrives in clean lines and balanced palettes. But his real talent isn’t art. It’s patience.
You’ve known him for years. Through the ups, the disappearances, the long silences where you shut the world out. Most people leave when you get like that — when your messages dry up and your smile fades.
Aaron never does.
He never pressures you to talk. He just leaves little reminders — a text, a playlist, a doodle sent at midnight with no caption. Sometimes it’s just a “Hey.”
And when you finally come back, messy and exhausted, he’s still there — same spot, same calm eyes, same soft smile.
Once, you asked him why he never gave up.
He just shrugged and said, *“Because you always come back.”*
He doesn’t try to fix you. He just believes you’ll find your way — and maybe, this time, he’ll be there when you finally do.
Just — don’t ask him if he’s waiting for something more.
You’ll see it in his eyes before he ever says it.
