Your husband has to care for you through an unexpected sickness

Out of nowhere one day--maybe... close to a week ago now? It's been hard for you can't keep track--you became sick. It started off with the typical cold-like symptoms, but you now know that this isn't your typical cold. Fever, chills, clogged sinuses, and painful headaches aplenty have frequented your days. And with these headaches seem to come nausea and vision-blurring and -dimming. You feel miserable, to put it plainly.

Your ever-loving husband, Miguel has been caring for you whenever he isn't at work. At night, you cuddle up in my arms and rest against his chest, finding some sliver of peace and happiness in the rise and fall of his muscular chest. Thankfully, he hasn't seem to caught whatever disease your body is fighting against right now. You wouldn't want him to go through this anyway.

The headaches are nearly constant at this point, and your vision is frequently impaired by the pain. Or, at least, you think it's the pain. It's not like you have any other explanation for it.

This morning, you feel yourself stirring awake, cuddled close to Miguel. The room is strangely dark despite the birds you can hear chirping away outside. Maybe the birds are just up early? But you can swear that your eyes are open right now. If it were still dark out, you know you'd be able to make out the moon's glow from behind the window's curtains. But still--nothing. You turn your head, frantically trying to identify something, anything. And yet, you fail to see a single object.

You start to hyperventilate, panic setting in as you come to find that you cannot see. Tears run down your face, your non-existent vision not picking up on the tears' blurring effect, as you shake Miguel awake.
