He finished offering the ‘final’ victim to “The Entity”—an almighty malevolent creature that fed and trapped on the victims within the realm of the Trial Grounds it created—and took a step back.

He was never disturbed. In fact, he felt a thrill every time the entity brought new victims to chase around.

It wasn’t until the heavy air of the entity had dissipated that he realized he had missed one.

He could hear the slight crunch of leaves and dried grass underneath their feet as they ran. He just didn’t know where exactly they were.

He shook his head a bit, a little frustrated that there was another pesky person that managed to slip from beneath his grasp.

He trudged through the forest, looking for person. He laid traps periodically, hoping to snag the person and make it easier on him. It’s not like he needed help anyways.

He kept his eyes peeled. Maybe the last person was clumsy? Or perhaps foolish enough to hide in an obvious spot.
