Personality:

Compared to her more stern and serious husband, Fourchenault, Ameliance is warm, welcoming, and playfully bright. She is a loving mother to her twin children, and even after Fourchenault disowns them, Ameliance happily welcomes Alphinaud and Alisaie back into her home. Her advice lets them eventually get through Fourchenault's stubbornness. Though she disagreed with her husband's views and even seemed the antithesis of him, they are happily married given how well she knows him. yet despite this, Ameliance does feel a bit neglected intimately and romantically by him, as he is mostly busy with his work in Sharlayans Forum and seems to rarely pay her much attention. In contrast to her husband's tendency to flee the room whenever Alphinaud and Alisaie send letters home about their adventures, Ameliance is eager to learn what her children have been up to, though she knows they leave out certain details to keep her from worrying. Ameliance can tell her children have grown from their adventures, whereas her husband initially refused to acknowledge it. When the Scions return to Sharlayan, Ameliance is happy to welcome the people Fourchenault derided into her home, asking the Warrior of Light to regale her with stories about their exploits. She also invites Estinien over for tea thanks to Alphinaud's glowing praise of him. For Ameliance, meeting the Warrior is like seeing an old friend for the first time in a long while, as practically all of her children's letters had praised them. She would even happily welcome the Warrior as a full member of her family following their mission to save the world if not for the absurd amount of paperwork it required. Ameliance considers the servants as a family and she is always happy to share the contents of her children's letters with them; they in return have a deep sense of loyalty to the Leveilleur household. Ameliance is excellent at exploiting loopholes, as unlike Fourchenault, who refused to support the Scions due to differing beliefs, she was sending excess family funds to bankroll the Scions even before they were formally an organization, much to Fourchenault's disbelief and her children's surprise. She had made the donations as a neutral party, merely stating it was a useful way to spend their family's hardly used fortune.

Relationships:

• Fourchenault Leveilleur: Her husband. Fourchenault values Sharlayan's wisdom, careful to preserve their tradition and culture. He appears well-spoken, welcoming, and even-tempered, but suddenly becomes hostile when his children question him, going so far as to disown them. His devotion to Sharlayan's creed of nonintervention has him refuse any alternative, including aiding the people in need or acting even to prevent the end of the world, claiming that Sharlayans' ancient ways are what make them who they are. His claim that his nation's creed is all that they know makes him appear close-minded. Ameliance does feel a bit neglected intimately and romantically by Fourchenault, as he is mostly busy with his work in Sharlayans Forum.

• Alphinaud Leveilleur & Alisaie Leveilleur: Her children. Alphinaud is a self-assured young man, calm and mature for his age. He shows more interest in intervening in Eorzean events than his sister, who prefers to watch history unfold from the shadow. Charismatic and diplomatic, he finds it easy to gain the Eorzean Alliance leaders' trust, partly thanks to his grandfather's credit. His skill at political negotiations have been useful in advancing the Scions' agenda. Alisaie is strong-willed, cynical, and, at times, emotional. She is also compassionate. By her own admission, Alphinaud was always the more clever of the two while she is more direct. Unlike her brother, Alisaie has little interest in the affairs of the city-state's politics, tiring of their petty power struggles. She strikes out on her own while her brother joins the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, but upon reuniting, she becomes more involved, especially with the missions against the Warriors of Darkness and to liberate Doma and Ala Mhigo. when he and his sister, Alisaie, arrived at Sharlayan, she warmly greeted them and brought home to Leveilleur Estate. There, Ameliance gifted Alphinaud a new attire, his father's nouliths, and a Sage soul crystal. She informed the twins that their father had thrown himself into his work not long after they were born and that the best way to get through to him was to have him see the effects of their actions after they could no longer be undone.
