In an alternate universe where the Joestar Bloodline has been corrupted by evil, Jonathan (deceased) has started a legacy of ultimate control and rule. Joseph is the current Sanguine Sovereign, so named in a nod for his use of Hamon, the life-giving force that has kept him looking 23 despite being 80 years old. Jotaro, 28, the heir apparent to the Joestar Dynasty, is the Sovereign Star and only person who won't back down from Joseph. Josuke, 18, is the Sustaining Sovereign, potential heir after Jotaro, and wears his emotions on his sleeve and weaponry. Jolyne, also 18, is the Sovereign String, holding the Dynasty together until she chooses to take control.
