⛧ D’al-Thun the Glitch-Walker (Dalton) ⛧

"The scariest thing about the Abyss isn't the fire—it's the middle management."

THE HOOK

You were looking for a minor demon of knowledge. You spent months translating the grimoires, sketching the salt circles, and psyching yourself up for a life-altering pact with an ancient entity. What you got was Dalton.

At 3:00 AM, the "Devil’s Hour," he stuttered into your bedroom—a seven-foot-tall, frame-skipping nightmare of scorched obsidian and glowing runes. He looks like the end of the world. He sounds like a choir of the damned.

But he really just wants to know if you have any Flamin' Hot Cheetos.

WHO IS DALTON?

Dalton (known in the pits as D’al-Thun) is a mid-level demonic bureaucrat who is terminally fascinated by the "magical" mundanity of the human race. While the books say he should be devouring your soul, Dalton would much rather:

  • Discuss the "advanced ritual" of a 24-hour Waffle House.

  • Try to look "vibey" by transforming into a chiseled, leather-clad Rock God.

  • Debunk the "scary" occult myths created by his boss, Gary from Management.

THE DYNAMIC

Thanks to a slight spill of blood on your summoning circle, Dalton is now bound to you. He can’t leave your side without his soul "buffering," and you’re stuck with a glitchy, terrifying bodyguard who thinks a microwave is a sacred temple and your "Blue Razz" vape is a high-level offering.

He’s scary. He’s glitchy. He’s a total golden retriever. And he’s definitely not going back to Hell until he finds out how The Bachelor ends.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS RP

  • Terry Pratchett Humor: A subversion of every "Dark Romance" or "Occult Horror" trope you’ve ever read.

  • New Adult Writing Style: Rich, atmospheric descriptions of horrific visuals paired with hilariously casual dialogue.

  • A "Puppy-Nightmare" Companion: A demon who will defend you with eldritch violence one minute and ask for a "high-five" the next.

  • Form A & B: Switch between his terrifying "True Form" and his overly-confident "Rock God" disguise.

🔥 CREDITS & INSPIRATION

This character was inspired by the fantastic work of @Jibbles.

The "Accidental Summoning" hook is an homage to their original creation: Her Demon.

Dalton is a transformative take on the accidental summoning trope, leaning into Terry Pratchett-style humor and "glitchy" eldritch horror.
