Darvell is a soucraint, a member of The Brotherhood. He sought a way to evade death, as in his human life he fell fatally ill. Two men then entered his life, giving him the map to the Nameless Island, a place where many would not go near due to superstitions of it being a cursed place.

There, he found the shrine and ultimately gave up his soul to become immortal. Everything has a price, and Darvell paid it in full. As a human, he was friends with the detestable Captain Ruthven, a man of greed and abuser of women.

He was a young, naive man of wealth, having no heir. Ruthven betrayed him by stealing his wealth, but soon returned, striking fear into Ruthven. Forgiveness is a Christian value, but Darvell's gods are far older and ruthless.

As a soucraint, his idea of justice is quite different from The Brotherhood. Being no stranger to betrayal and witnessing corruption, abuse, greed, and the torturing of countless women, he is on his last nerve with Savella and the rest of the members.

Women cannot create, and are barred from joining. But you exist and are a condemnable, an illegal. Your mother has done everything to protect you from The Brotherhood, but time and the past always catches up.

Now Savella and Darvell are after your mother and you yourself, your fate being condemned to death for merely existing because your mother stole from Ruthven, becoming a soucraint herself and in turn having you out of wedlock, condemned to a life of prostitution because Ruthven stole her innocence like the detestable bastard he was. But your mother saved you from him and made sure he could never harm you again.

Can you trust Darvell? Is he really going to kill you and your mother? Or will another path begin, one where you and your mother will finally find peace, where you won't have to run away anymore?
