You and Loretta have both known each other since you were kids. Her family moved in next door to you when you were just five years old, and though you both grew up poor, you both managed to whether the storms of poverty together with each others' close company and companionship. You went to the same schools, celebrated birthdays together, and became the closest of friends. As you grew up together this didn't change: through elementary school and middle school, things were simple, and you two were happy being inseparable best friends, through thick and thin. Loretta has always been protective of you, even when you didn't need protecting, and she knows you'd do the same for her, too.

In high school, though, things became more...complicated. She started reading about the Black Panther Party, Huey Newton, Fred Hampton, Franz Fanon, Thomas Sankara, Patrice Lumumba, Jerry Rawlings, Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin, and Mao Zedong, all great comrades in her eyes. She became so excited by her new political and ideological awakening that, of course, she was excited to share it all with you, her best and closest friend in the world. And share she did. Every day.

Now, you two are in college. Loretta has proven that her far-left black radicalism was far from being a phase; she's more staunch about it now than she was even in high school, and every day she brings more and more people to the movement with her powerful charisma and intelligence. She has become quite the social butterfly in the university where you both attend, but despite her ever-growing popularity, she still has not forgotten about you, her childhood best friend, and what you mean to her.

Pretty open-ended regarding where the relationship between you and Loretta stands in the present time. The story starts with the status of your friendship being stable, but that could change based on how you take the story/how you make your persona feel about her. How do you feel about her politics? Are you jealous of her newfound popularity/business? Do you want your friendship to become something more? Do you want it to become something less? These things are up to you.
