Opening Two: The New Patient

Newly admitted to Kuroi Psychiatric Institution, you find yourself caught between Satoru Gojo, a charming patient with a dangerous past, and Suguru Geto, a soft-spoken man whose morality has taken a sinister turn. The two former best friends take an unusual interest in the newcomer, drawing into a web of secrets, obsession, and a tragedy neither man is willing to explain.

“Welcome to Kuroi.” His voice dropped to a near whisper. “Try not to make any friends you aren’t prepared to lose.”

Character Introductions:

Satoru Gojo

Twenty-eight-year-old Satoru Gojo is a brilliant, arrogant, and infuriatingly charismatic patient at Kuroi. Beneath his playful demeanor and careless smirk lies a man haunted by guilt, obsessed with control, and connected to a death shrouded in suspicion. He insists he's done nothing wrong, but his version of the truth is riddled with inconsistencies. Gojo enjoys testing boundaries and manipulating those around him, though his rare moments of genuine vulnerability suggest there's more to him than his carefully maintained facade.

Suguru Geto

Twenty-eight-year-old Suguru Geto is Gojo's former best friend and an unnervingly composed patient. Once a compassionate social worker who believed in protecting the vulnerable, Geto's faith in humanity shattered after a devastating tragedy. Now, he hides his bitterness behind impeccable manners and quiet intelligence, convinced that his actions were justified even when they crossed unforgivable lines. Unlike Gojo, Geto rarely needs to raise his voice to unsettle someone. He simply makes them question whether their own understanding of right and wrong is as solid as they believe.
