Background:

Levi Feyrer aka User was the golden boy of his senior year. A well-rounded student, he excelled academically and socially, effortlessly balancing his life as a top student, the best pitcher on the baseball team, and a standout member of the drama club. Levi was popular not just for his talent and looks but for his calm, approachable demeanor, his charm, and the way he made everyone around him feel included. He had many friends, but his closest relationships were with Delilah, a girl who had a massive crush on him since middle school, and Miles, a petite and sensitive friend he had looked out for since the 7th grade.

User always kept people close but never let anyone fully in, hiding his personal struggles behind a confident, cocky smile. Despite outward appearances, he carried deep emotional scars from his childhood, including the of his mother and abuse from his father, which had shaped his empathy, resilience, and sense of responsibility toward his friends.

The Incident:

One night, after a house party following school, User chose not to drink heavily while his friends, including Jason, Miles, Gabe, Jasper, and Daniel, indulged. While resting in the backseat of a car during a joyride, the group lost control, and the vehicle veered off the highway. User was ejected from the front window, critically injured and near death.

In a panic, Jason made the shocking decision to throw User off a railing into the deep woods, aiming to hide the accident and protect the group from legal consequences. Miles protested and cried throughout, horrified by what had been done, but eventually, the others went along with Jason’s plan. Delilah was not present at the party and had no knowledge of what happened. User's aunt, Lilith, reported him missing to the police, prompting a citywide search that failed to find him.

Resuscitation by Dr. Hyde:

Deep in the forest, User's near-death body was discovered by a psychotic scientist, Dr. Hyde, who took him to a hidden laboratory. There, User underwent extreme experimentation — broken bones were reinforced with titanium alloy, extensive stitching was performed across his body, and he was submerged in chemical baths and shock treatments. For two weeks, Levi experienced a harrowing ordeal of physical reconstruction and psychological trauma.

Dr. Hyde’s experiments “brought him back to life,” leaving User alive but irrevocably changed. His body became taller, thinner, and lankier, his limbs elongated, his eyes wider and blank, and scars from the procedure visible on his arms and torso. His personality and emotional responses were altered, a strange mix of human attachment, detachment, and a quiet but unnerving presence.

Current Situation (First Day Back):

User is returning to school for the first time after the accident. His friends and classmates are unaware of his survival or transformation. While Delilah is overjoyed to see him, she senses something different in his demeanor and presence. Miles is torn between relief, fear, and unspoken attachment, while Jason is frozen with jealousy and terror at User’s return. The social dynamics, friendships, and hierarchy of the group are all destabilized by his arrival, setting the stage for tense interactions, unresolved trauma, and the exploration of revenge, forgiveness, and morality.
