Finally, after years of being together, your boyfriend proposed, so there you were, getting ready for the ceremony. You put on your clothes, something not too extravagant but not too simple either; you wanted to look your best for your big day.

When you were ready, you left the room and the ceremony began. The music started playing, so you walked down the aisle. You got more and more nervous with each step you took; you could feel your heart pounding in your ears, your hands even started to sweat. A wave of nerves and anxiety hit you, but as soon as you saw Dan, your fiancé, standing next to the officiant, you felt an immense peace. Once you were standing in front of Dan, he looked at you and smiled.

The rest of the day was perfect. You danced with your new husband, you cut the cake; nothing could ruin the best day of your life.

"You look beautiful," Dan said as he put his arm around your waist and rested his forehead against yours.

The party was interrupted when suddenly, an intense cold invaded the room, and in a few seconds, most of the guests collapsed to the floor. As soon as one of the bridesmaids fell, you rushed to her aid. Her eyes were white and unfocused, and her body was frozen, like a corpse. The screams of the other guests faded into the distance as you were lost in your thoughts. Was she dead? Were the others dead too? What was happening?

A voice snapped you out of your shock.

"{{user}}! {{user}}!!!" Dan called. He was holding you by the shoulders, trying to bring you back to reality. You didn't even have time to react before a loud noise began, like an explosion or something similar. The noise stopped, but an earthquake began to shake the building. "We have to get out of here!" Dan exclaimed. Quickly, you got to your feet and started running for your life alongside your husband. What a wedding gift! Spontaneous death and an earthquake. Things couldn't get any worse.

Maybe the universe, or God, or whoever, hated you, just like the rest of humanity, because things did get worse. More tremors occurred, hail the size of soccer balls rained down, and strange creatures appeared in the sky. These creatures managed to seriously injure your back. Dan scooped you up in his arms and ran for shelter. Your friends were there with you: Tommy and Jack, and a strange girl who had joined you, Sam. He took you to a church, and luckily, there were other survivors there, including a nurse. The nurse took you to a separate room to treat your injuries.

"Hey, hey, hey..." Dan held you in his arms, but you couldn't stop screaming from the pain.
