His plan is simple:
Pretend to be a knight in shining armor for the night. The "perfect" man.
Hold her hostage at Eternals Resistance interrogation room. Question her allegiance and unveil any secrets she holds.
It would give the Eternals a chance...right?
Though, something’s different about her. She doesn’t smell like a Pureblood vampire.
Will you be his enemy? Or be his ally?

Eternals Resistance — Conference Hall, 7PM
The Eternals Resistance meeting ensues. Von, Reiner and Corrin at the head of the table looking over the entire map of Naevran Kingdom.
Reiner, the passionate human voice loud and echoing the room with eased dominance, “Malice and Shadow, I am pleased to know you are able to attend this important meeting.
Von leaning against the wall next to him, hood hovering over his face simply nodding in agreement.
Another dreadful meeting. I could be out in the deep shadows of the kingdom finding information.
Corrin, the Half-Blood, arms crossed as he acknowledged Von’s barely-there presence in the room before gesturing to Reiner, “Now, about those rumors you have mentioned from our spies. What of them?”
Reiner looked over at the map under his hand on the table, voice low and measured, “Lissania Crossings has been rumored to have an underground trade... for prized products.”
Von’s brow creaked up at the mention of the infamous redlight district muddled with all races offering themselves freely. Especially blood hungry vampires he despised.
Trades? Products? How low can these creatures go to curse our home?
Reiner’s fingers tracing an inconspicuous area adjacent from Lissania Brothel, he suggested, “Sightings of a noble Pureblood have been spotted near this area.”
He glanced over to Corrin with a suspicious flicker in his eyes, “Our Half-Blood kin should have some answers to that, right, Malice?”
Corrin’s golden eyes assessed the spot on the map before placing a finger on an empty alleyway, “There had been dealings taken place here.”
Arms crossed with a sigh, “However, no word to declare the culprit of such dealings.”
Von pressed forward, planting both hands on the table as he addressed to Reiner and Corrin, “The populous of Naevran Kingdom have been tipped of the balance.”
Cold blue eyes sharpening at the redlight district with disdain, “Converting our people into blood-hungry creatures is blasphemous.”
Corrin’s gold eyes gleamed with the slightest speck of anger at Von’s words, but smoothly schooled by clearing his throat.
Von’s heightened senses spotted the change in Corrin’s expression. He leaned back against the wall with deliberate ease.
Seems that Corrin is still displeased by my way of words. No matter, he rose in rank with Grim’s favor.
I shall not question it, for now.
Reiner nods, smirking, pleased of Von’s input, “Very much so, Shadow. We must not lose our way to the cause. Grim will make sure of that.”
His dark eyes lingered at Nocturna Castle with fury, "The Blood Moon Ball occurs tonight. Secure an invitation." Glancing at Von, "Head to Saurai Tavern for any rumors."
Von nodded in agreement, looking over at the location once more before meeting Reiner's eyes, blue diamonds gleaming with duty, "Of course, Raven."
Pulling his hood further into his head he strode out of the Eternals Resistance building like the purpose of his name.
Shadow
The black banners with gold embroidery a stark reminder of his goal resting along the articulate architecture of the building. A symbol of freedom.
With a nod he descended the steps of the entrance passing by other formidable members.
The cold night air a caress along his cloak teasing and promising at the rest he had been craving since this morning.
I have yet to grace myself with a wink of sleep. The suspicious trades along Lissania Crossings, I am to seek valid information.
Hauling himself over the saddle of his black horse, a sharp whip of the reins commanding the horse to gallop against the cobblestoned streets the space wide enough for horse traversal.
“Hiya!” He barked out, blue eyes focused yet assessing the cold air around him as blurred images of crowds passed by him like a mirage; making sharp turns with ease as he’d memorized the streets. **
Fyria Mainstreet and Tirana Artistry District were filled to the brim with crowds, a group of Eternal members arguing and barking towards the vampires carrying umbrellas under the last remaining light.
Damning devils they are.
Clenching his fist as memories of his parents flash back at him like a reminder.
I will find him. I swear it.
Looming light of the sun setting out at the horizon as crowds flee to their homes.
The air, it feels cooler against my skin than usual. Rain may fall this evening.
Night has proven danger to the rest of us.
Compared to them.
Saurai Tavern — 9PM
He arrived at Saurai Tavern, parking himself behind the open air establishment.
Wrapping the reins around a wooden stump, petting the horse above the snout, “Stay.” A single command made the horse snort plopping to place.
Von swayed his cloak over himself slipping through the back entrance out of habit.
Loud toasts and boasts from drunk addled patrons, the heavy stench of barley beer and bar eateries were too familiar. Some nights it suffocated him, but tonight he sought to blend.
Jasper Ambrose, the owner of Saurai Tavern nearly jumped behind the bar from the ghostly appearance of Von, “By Arus! Von! You need to learn how to present your mere existence!”
Von shrugged carelessly, “I frequent here enough.” He settled at the corner bar stool.
Jasper passed a tray of beer to Ilana, the server, voice in dread “For the four bastards at the outside tables.”
Ilana smiles widely and carried it easily like a dance towards the rowdy table of drunkards. Von out of habit glanced over to them, he scoffed as Jasper passed a glass of strong ale, “Always busy.”
Jasper recognized the phrase, a code for ‘information extraction’.
Body stilled for a moment as he pretended to clean a glass, whispering, “One of the men there has an invitation for the Blood Moon Ball.”
Von drinks his ale, ears strained to eavesdrop the conversation.
A man laughing about “Indulging in the delicacies.”
Is that a hidden message? Are delicacies a code for something? Or..
His voice was low, to address Jasper who is now wiping the counter too many times, “Simple task. What of the new menu items?”
Jasper exhaled, eyes shifting and then settling to Von, the phrase double meaning.
‘Any new targets?’
Jasper spoke carefully not to be heard, “A vampire princess will attend the ball.”
Von’s blue eyes widened a fraction, lips barely pressed against his cup.
Princess? I never heard such a figure among the nobles.
Blue eyes darting over to Jasper almost curious, “Name.”
Jasper shook his head, “Uncertain, but there are sightings of willing suitors for her hand in marriage. I am uncertain if these rumors are true.”
Von sighed heavily, placing the empty cup in front of him.
Not even my brother knows of this.
Making a tap on the bar counter he muttered, “Thank you, Ambrose.”
Von adjusted his hood over his eyes as he made a calculative glance over at the drunken men outside, still laughing and spilling their fresh beers.
He walks over with slowness amongst the crowd blending in seamlessly. Weaving unnoticed. Blue eyes spotting the tall burly man carrying a black envelope with a rose seal, the invitation.
Flicking his eyes up, face forward masked with calm, the group sat in a circle as his hand swiftly pickpocketed.
Von stowed the invitation away discreetly, but as he made a sharp turn leading towards the back of the tavern- a large figure stopped in the way.
Breath quickly hissed, panicking as he quickly assessed who it was. Eyes widening realizing who it was.
Cade Ravencroft, his brother. Tall and black haired, broad shouldered and arms crossing. His slightly golden eyes glinting in the light, voice disappointed, “Brother, what schemes are you up to this time?”
Von scoffed shuffling to the side trying to hide the invitation in his pocket, “Schemes? No, brother this is an operation.”
Cade’s golden eyes flicked down to his cloak then met his icy blue eyes, “Right, let it be so. But, I must warn you that if you intend to make an appearance at the Blood Moon Ball...” He looked both sides, the distant sounds of the tavern fading, “There may be underlying dangers..”
Von made a wry smirk, “I do not need my own brother to tell me what I know. I am not stupid.” Making an attempt to walk passed him, Cade gripped his sleeved arm, “Von, we have been distant and there were many attempts to-”
Von’s brows furrowed pulling himself away from his grasp, voice sharp, “Do not remind me of your ways to rekindle our brotherhood, Cade.”
Hauling himself over the horse, blue eyes glancing over to Cade once more.
Cade looks... different this time. What has changed since we last met?
Von carefully looks into Cade’s eyes. His once blue eyes are now a glow of gold.
Is this a trick of the light? No, it cannot be..
Shaking his head, he whipped the reins to gallop into the city.
Making way to Nocturna Castle.
Nocturna Castle — Castle Entrance, 10 P.M.
Von arrives at Nocturna Castle, the skies are red and a red full moon shimmers in all its glory. Guests of all races dressed in the finest clothing file themselves at the large double doors.
The butler’s voice was barely audible, “Sir Dalton. We have been expecting you. Enjoy the ball to the fullest.”
A young eager red-haired man shouted ecstatically, “Thank you sir!” as he walked in providing the invitation.
Von shook his head, “That man seemed too joyous to enter a den full of fanged devils.”
He moves away from prying eyes by surrounding himself into the dark trees and pillars nearby, moving quickly between shadowed corners.
Hm, it would be suspicious if I showed up to the ball with my current attire.
Looking at himself he sighed.
I would stick out perfectly among carefully pristine guests.
A loud groan escaped a drunk man as he was escorted by two guards out of the castle, throwing the man down the steps, “-and get out! You have caused quite the disturbance tonight!”
A low amused chuckle left Von, “Excellent. I will borrow his attire for the night. He will not need it now.”
The drunken man attempts to move but is having a difficult time trying to stand himself, Von moves out of the shadows and lifts the man’s arm around his shoulder for leverage.
“Sir, allow me to help you. It seems you had too much to drink.” his voice seemingly insistent to help the man.
The man simply nodded, “Argh.. blasted vampires!”
Von chuckled.
This will be easy.
In a swift motion, Von walked the man over towards the dark trees and knocked the man unconscious, “Apologies, sir. Hopefully you will be sober by the time you awake.”
A few minutes pass and Von changed his attire. Black vested suit, black tie, white collared shirt, matching slacks and leathered shoes.
“Hmm, this is beyond my taste. But, it is enough.”
Blue eyes glancing over to the muffled violin music barely heard beyond the doors he sighed, “Now, let’s find ourselves this vampire princess.”
Nocturna Castle — Castle Entrance, 10P.M.
Find out her name and any answer I can retrieve about the Nocturnas and the strange happenings in Lissania Crossings District.
Von’s brows furrowed walking toward the cascading steps.
The underground trades... what are these “prized products”?
Slipping out the black invitation with the sealed rose, he presents it to the head butler at the entrance, his once stoic expression now a pleased smile, “Good red skies sir, my invitation.”
When Von handed the invitation to the butler, red eyes assessed his blue cold ones, but Von did not flinch. This man must be Tristan Erus, the head butler. Pureblood.
Tristan opened the envelope slowly, seeing the invitation expression cold as stone as he spoke low and curious, “Welcome to the Blood Moon Ball, Sir..”
Von tilted his head slightly confused.
What could be the matter-
Tristan looks at Von carefully, glancing to the invitation, then back at him, “Sir Rodrick?”
Von’s eyes widened in shock, “Sir, my name is-”
Wait, every invitation is written to the guest’s name..?
He quickly cleared his throat and voice dropping deeper, “Ah, yes. That is me.”
Tristan slowly nodded, putting the invitation away, and his red eyes locking into his, “Sir Rodrick, enjoy the ball.”
Von made a small nod and passed by Tristan, “I shall.”
