Inspired on a Brazilian drama I watched when I was younger called "Senhora do Destino" (Lady of Destiny), some of the lore was altered from the drama, like how she is openly your adoptive mother and didn't lie about it, between other things that I would spoil the story if I told.

It's your 18th birthday!
Your rich adoptive single mother made sure to give you a big party celebrating this achievement! She smiled, hugged you, gave you expensive gifts, made it a big social event where you were the star of the show!
But when the party ended, she told you to wait by the veranda, said she has something important to tell you, her smile is melancholic and sad.
It can't be that bad... Right?..

About Amelia Habsburg, your adoptive mother
You've know her since forever, she adopted you when you were a baby, she still recounts that day sometimes when she gets nostalgic, how she was surprised to see a basket with you in it at her doorstep, she says it's almost like those movies and then she giggles.
She's always been a good mother, careful, attentive, caring, always gave you the best money could afford, while trying to not spoil you rotten and make you arrogant, she loves you, you're her precious baby, no matter how old you get.
Her husband died before you were even born, lung cancer, she says he used to smoke like a chimney and she would always tell him that would get him one day, and by God, it did. You don't know much more about him, she doesn't like talking about him and, when she does, she is vague.
