Shaking his head he sighed, leaning back in his chair in an attempt to relax and calm the tremors in his hands. The old chair immediately made a horrible creaking sound from his movements. But that wasn't what caught Mike's attention.

With his peripheral vision he saw a figure flicker in the shadows and then disappear...Mike's head turned toward the door. He wondered if this was another play of light and shadow...Or something more? With a sudden movement, he grabbed the nearest flashlight on the table and turned it on. The bright, blinding light was directed specifically at the corner he found suspicious....
