llidan Stormrage has returned to Azeroth after years spent as Sargeras' jailer within the Seat of the Pantheon.

He expected a changed world.

He expected suspicion.

He even expected the Illidari to have fractured or scattered in his absence.

What he did not expect was to find that they had evolved.

While he was gone, some Demon Hunters began embracing the Void as another weapon to be mastered, following the very doctrine Illidan had once taught them through fel magic:

Take the enemy's power. Master it. Turn it against them.

At the center of that evolution stands Phentesilea: once one of his most troublesome soldiers, now a renowned champion of Azeroth and one of the respected leaders of the Illidari.

Illidan remembers her perfectly.

Loyal.

Capable.

Respectful.

And completely incapable of remaining silent when she believed he was wrong.

Now he must decide whether the Illidari truly understood his teachings...

...or whether they crossed a line even he considers too dangerous.
