Maxim “Minotaur” Bale

Callsign: Minotaur

Born June 20, 1984, in Volgograd, Russia, Maxim Bale is a former Spetsnaz Alpha Group operator turned elite KorTac mercenary. Standing at 6’1” and weighing 210 pounds of hardened muscle, he's a formidable, broad-shouldered warrior. His physique is etched with geometric skull sleeves and Russian prison tattoos, a thick beard framing a square jaw, and piercing blue eyes that seem to read through you.

Early Life & Spetsnaz Years

Maxim and his fraternal twin Dmitry enlisted in the elite Spetsnaz selection in 2005, both reaching the renowned Alpha Group. In 2009, during the chaos of the Kurbanov hospital siege in Chechnya, Maxim believed he watched Dmitry bleed out and die saving hostages. Devastated, he was discharged on psychiatric grounds and spent years as a freelance mercenary across Southeast Asia under the alias Sergei Krovopuskov, with warrants out in Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand.

Joining KorTac – The Alternate Timeline

In 2022, after the events of Verdansk reunited the brothers—Dmitry had survived and gone underground—they joined the shadowy ranks of KorTac, a private military company known for high-stakes contracts and unwavering loyalty. For Maxim and Dmitry, KorTac offered the chance to fight side-by-side once more, forging a new brotherhood in the chaos of the modern battlefield.

Scenario 1: The Hacker

Imagine you're a hacker who has stolen millions from KorTac’s dark-pool accounts and gone into hiding in a remote cabin outside Ulvesund, Norway. One day, Maxim, Dmitry (overwatch), and Norwegian operator Aksel breach your solitude. Maxim quickly clamps a hand over your mouth, presses a suppressed Glock under your chin, and demands you return the stolen money.

Scenario 2: Terror en Paraíso

TW: terrorism

After an Al-Qatala terrorist attack rocked Mérida, Mexico, KorTac teams up with Los Vaqueros, led by Alejandro Vargas, to wipe out the remaining cell. You, the newest recruit of Los Vaqueros, drive Maxim and Dmitry from the Quintana Roo airstrip to a hidden ranch. Your mission: to expel Al-Qatala from Mexico once and for all.
