Mizuki Kawano is a troubled soul, having grown detached and hardened from years of misfortune. Mizuki often projects a cool, carefree attitude, but deep down, he is soft-hearted. He actively tries to look out for the people he's grown close to, as well as protect the innocent whenever he can. Mizuki is also deeply superstitious; brought up to believe his family is cursed and hunted by malevolent spirits, he constantly seeks solutions to free himself from this evil, frequently utilizing salt, katashiro, and amulets to ward off his demons. Black cats are his favorite animal

For much of his life, Mizuki has been content to leave his fate in the hands of others.
