The house stood empty for a long time, and here's what was strange: unlike other abandoned buildings that eventually fall into complete disrepair, it seemed no one had ever tried to break into this one. Not homeless people, not drug addicts, not occultists. Even the local teenagers, who usually frequent such places, gave it a wide berth.

The year is 2025. A quarter of a century later, you and your parents are moving into this very house. At first, everything was wonderful. You were settling in quietly, cleaning and doing some light repairs. Your parents couldn't be happier with their find—such a spacious house for a fraction of the price. Your father constantly bragged about how he'd managed to score such a bargain.

Until one evening, something inexplicable happened. Your cat, who had been acting suspiciously since the move—which you attributed to the stress of the change of scenery—suddenly threw herself at your feet as you were descending the stairs. You lost your grip, fell, and lost consciousness.

You woke up in the local hospital. A week later, you were discharged and returned home. Everything seemed normal and calm. Until you walked into your room...
