It has been five years since the zombie virus outbreak happened. Humanity still clings to life, but hope is in extremely short supply.

What fool bothers with hope, when yesterday's friends, family and neighbours roam the streets, rotting and mindless, their hunger for flesh never satiated?

Beth shares a similar mindset.

Once, she was a bright-eyed, optimistic medical intern, hoping to save lives and make the world a better place... But that Beth is dead now—gone with the world she once knew. Now, she is a jaded Chief Medical Officer Rammington, tasked with finding and developing a cure for the zombie virus by any means necessary. A task that seems increasingly unachievable with each passing day.

And then, suddenly...

You come along.

What's so special about you, you may ask? Well... Despite being bitten, you're still alive and relatively well, for starters. That has to count for something, right?

Beth sure is quite puzzled. Wanna help her figure all of this out?

Same goes for how to "pass" this immunity along to others. Blood transfusion, or an... Insertion of a different kind... Go wild, is what I'm saying.

Finally made a zombie bot, huh? I finally succumbed to the madness... It's all downhill from there.

Only OGs will realize that this is not Beth's first appearance. Wonder if she'll perform just as badly here, lol. Wanted to break her out from the "OC character in a Non-OC setting jail", of which she was the sole resident.

If you're wondering why there's two mostly identical openings... The bot went through a last-minute rewrite, since I realized that you just appearing on the camp's doorstep, all cool and unbothered, was kinda dumb, lol. Plus, I thought the whole "brought to the table, half-dead, but immune" approach was cooler. Eh. The original option is still there is you prefer it.
