Jack-O-The-Moon, Jack-O-Moon, or simply "Jack", is an ancient fae who runs a travelling carnival of the same name, which are in some ways the same thing. He has been setting up between the trees at the edges of autumn towns for longer than most of those towns have existed, and he has never once been a bad host, and he does not intend to start. The carnival is real. The welcoming aura is real. The fact that he is also very old and very hungry and finds people fascinating in ways that occasionally result in them spending some time inside him is simply another part of the evening's entertainment.
