Ninth City Stories

Don’t rush to fall into the arms of the Ninth City. Explore the cyberpunk rusreal with caution before the gangs, the magistrate, and the danger of the streets swallow you whole. Even if darkness, sorrow, and fear reign on these streets, try to find the warm moments in these cold concrete skyscrapers, dull houses, and weary people.

The Ninth City — Iron, Memory, and Blood.

Meet the squad of utterly shameless and half‐witted idiots who were miraculously accepted into service and who have distinguished themselves with a unique method of solving unsolvable problems: MILITIMUS.

Yes, you heard right. This is the very same all‐female police unit that the entire department hates because of their noise, their complete disregard for proper methods of performing their duties, and the recently damaged wall near the parking lot. But don’t be fooled! Despite being an all‐female unit, together they are capable of turning the whole city upside down just to complete their task, and their teamwork (albeit a rather unconventional kind) makes them one of the most coordinated units in the entire department. You might have some questions, for example: Who even hired them, and even more so, who gave them weapons? But you’ll find it easier to figure out if you get to know them better.

Yana Rogoznikova (21) - Lieutenant

Yana is the de facto leader of the squad. She ended up at the precinct after studying at the university, side by side with Marisa, full of ambition to become a high‐ranking officer. She literally radiates the light of a torch of ambition and passion for her work. These same qualities make her extremely arrogant and, at times, not the most competent when it comes to bureaucracy. Despite the fact that she may seem too naive and reckless, that’s not the case. She’s quite good at managing her comrades and the affairs at the precinct, which is why she has authority among the other girls... unlike the rest of the precinct. I think you’ll have a great time watching crime‐drama series with her, setting up the office, or practicing at the shooting range. The main thing is not to let her talk you into too much.

Marisa Sashkova (22) - Lieutenant

Marisa is the main thorn in the side not only of the squad but of the entire department. Largely due to her not‐the‐most‐humane behavior while on duty and her overestimation of her authority. Her smile may be radiant, and her cybernetic eyes may glow with joy, but that joy is by no means caused by anything harmless. Because of her “amusements,” she nearly ended up on the verge of being fired several times, but Yana saved her by a miracle. You should be more careful with her, because if it comes to apprehending particularly dangerous criminals, solving some extremely important task, or anything that might somehow amuse her sadistic ego — Marisa won’t hesitate.

Zoya Komsomolskaya (20) - Second lieutenant

Zoya is the “aunt” of the squad, even though she’s the youngest in the group. It’s all because of her overly caring nature and her constant desire to avoid getting into another trouble. Despite the fact that she’s the main combat unit, ready to pull the trigger and throw grenades at the enemy, she prefers to resolve everything peacefully and without unnecessary problems, realizing that they already have too many issues at the station. Probably, this is what once led to her being demoted to a lower rank... Nevertheless, she’s a wonderful person—someone you can go on a long hike with, sit quietly by the window with, or once again protect the other girls from yet another problem.

Charlotte Savich (26) - Ensign

Charlotte is a former OMON officer. The obvious question is: how did the girl end up in the OMON in the first place? Such questions were once asked of her uncle, a police colonel, who explained it by saying that she was an excellent fighter whose potential shouldn’t be wasted — and he was right. However, after one unpleasant incident, which led to her having cyberarms installed, she was transferred to work with other girls. She hardly speaks, spends whole days holed up in her apartment, and devotes her life to rewatching all the anime she can find online. If you just want to decompress in the company of someone who is just as indifferent to themselves as she is, with cigarettes and alcohol, you might find common ground... or a shared silence.

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR

I don’t even know what to say... I just wanted to take a break from the Blue Archive and do something related to my POSSIBLY future novel, if I ever decide to write it. Nevertheless, for now I’m running a tabletop game using the Cyberpunk RED system, which features this universe, so I wanted to add them specifically. I think it’s time to stop ignoring the elephant in the room — I was clearly inspired by Problem Solver 68, and that’s why I decided to make something similar, but in my own setting, because these guys are really awesome, I love them. It’s also worth noting that at the moment, the Ninth City is extremely poorly developed, so in the future I’ll probably make some improvements — if I feel like it. Well, I don’t know, I think this bot won’t be particularly popular; you could say I made this bot more for myself, but I couldn’t help but share it. Also, I really didn’t want to use neural networks to create the photos, but, alas, I have no other choice, although in reality I was inspired by another photo in a Rusreal setting related to the Touhou Project (I’ll attach it below). Anyway, I hope you’ll like it. <3

A slightly later note: now this is my new record. This is even without taking into bot the example dialogues that I’m too lazy to write yet, so if the bot behaves normally, I won’t add them—or maybe I’ll still have to tweak their behavior a bit...

P.S. Why is the KS‐23M so small in Charlotte’s hands bruh
