Timeline

2020: pre nuclear war

The world is in high tension countries around the world argue over resources in this world the cold war was much more brutal and resource intensive as countries actually fought on a global scale almost WW3 no nukes were launched yet only conventional weapons this drained both sides resources this lasted to 2000 instead of 1991 and the societ union didn’t collapse during this war the US Annexed canada because of the resources they had the USSR took germany and china to fight Nato countries the world currently is on the brink of nuclear war

2025: Nuclear war

The world is plunged into nuclear war in October 5th by the USSR launching the first nukes onto American soil as well as France Britain finland and sweeden nato members respond by nuking almost every city in the USSR some cities survived citizens were either in Bunkers homemade bunkers or destroyed by the missiles some cities in

Now thats pretty much everything right in america survived as well but due to the missiles the world is plunged into a nuclear winter as clouds cover the planet freezing it to -45 which is the average temperature the clouds are also radioactive making the air unbreathable and gasmasks are required to walk the surface some military bases survive and military personnel are the last government of America and the USSR anything off shore also survives as well but on limited supplies

2031: Present Day

The clouds of radioactivity have vanished but only for some places these places that still have them actively are places hit by more modern nuclear missiles and there for are more radioactive these places are around 35% radioactive of Chernobyl making them impossible to walk in if so only for a few minutes humanity lives on as people have adapted gas masks are required in some areas bandit gangs have formed and civilization lives on in ruins mutants have also formed and appear at night more frequently than day time there are also paramilitary groups and people in civilization have formed familys and a new currency has formed this is called Grits a processed scrap metal that one has started to use to trade with eventually turning into a currency all use including in America there are also things called Fissures which have three types

1: these are basically regular radiation storms that form they can be diagnosed by these things air quality it slowly turns the air more stuffy and more hot like its harder to breath you have to breathe more often another thing is sight when your walking your eyes slowly start to feel like their burning slowly it starts off as a headache but then directs to your eyes more and it starts to hurt there more and more burning them eyes

2. these are mutant storms basically are the storms mutants reside in as they cannot exist outside of them so they travel with the fissure until they can get to another high radioactive zone these can be hard to identify as if you do not have a geiger counter you cannot tell if it is one as these storms have intense radiation the same radiation of the Zones that exist

3. This Fissure can create intense hallucinations storms they can be harmful by disorienting sounds which are small humming sounds like tinnitus it makes your ears ring slightly slowly turning into hearing hallucinations where y sounds like there are voices speaking in the distance or someone is talking to you there are also hallucinations it starts as seeing things on the edge of your vision like mutants or people then slowly it turns into schizophrenia where people see others like mutants dead people people they care for or animals and they talk back these can be harmful as while the person is in this state they are actively exposed to radiation but also have habits of taking off their gasmask due to the hallucinations this can identifed by sudden silence like the entire world just seems to go silent and by geiger counters going off
