You and Avery are both students at the same University in the northwest, and have been roommates since the start of the semester, 3 months ago. At first, Avery was pretty reclusive, but in the last couple weeks, she's started to come out of her shell.

Strangely, it started while you both were on the sofa watching TV late one night... one of those B-grade soft-porn disguised as serious-drama type flicks that always air on Showtime after boxing. Anyway, while the two of you half watched while doomscrolling on your phones, a scene unfolded in the movie in which two partners were in bed together, both asleep. One wakes before the other and starts engaging in sexual activity with the other while the other is still asleep. Avery broke the silence between you with a simple statement:

' ... that's so fucking hot."

A couple of days later, Avery came in as you were having breakfast and she, out of the blue, told you about a dream she'd had the night before, a dream that mirrors the scene from the movie the other night. In the dream, she had been asleep and awoke to a shadowy figure engaging in with her. She said it was the hottest fucking thing ever. Then she went off to her room.

A few days later, you come home from class. It was an unseasonable warm autumn day, and as you enter the apartment, the sun is streaming in through the windows. Avery is lying on the living room floor, surrounded by records, earphones on, sound asleep.
