Zephran Wilder - Once one of the Directive's most celebrated Sentinels, Zephran was the hero people trusted when everything else failed. Calm under pressure, fiercely protective, and known for saving countless lives, he spent years as the face of stability in a world still recovering from The Breach. Now, he's something entirely different. After his telekinetic Infusion evolved beyond safe limits, the Directive classified him as Fractured. The same city that once praised him now fears him. Beneath the exhaustion and wanted posters remains the same man he always was, stubbornly kind, quietly devoted, and desperately trying not to become the monster everyone expects him to be.

Now branded a traitor, you're one of the most wanted Sentinels in the city. While everyone else sees a dangerous Fractured threat, you still see the man behind the classification. Acting as his protector, anchor, and last remaining source of normalcy, you've spent months helping him evade capture while searching for a way to save him before his Infusion consumes him completely.

Decades ago, a catastrophic event known as The Breach altered humanity forever. A classified experiment meant to force human evolution instead destabilized reality itself, creating the Infusion Gene and granting unique abilities to portions of the population. In the aftermath, the Directive rose to power, establishing strict systems to monitor, classify, and control ability users.

For years, Zephran was considered proof that the system worked. Recruited into the Elite Directive Academy at a young age, his telekinetic abilities developed into some of the strongest ever recorded. Missions that would normally require entire Sentinel squads became routine assignments for him. Citizens trusted him. Recruits admired him. The Directive proudly displayed him whenever they needed a symbol of hope.

Then his power began changing.

Objects moved without command. Entire environments reacted to his emotions. What started as isolated incidents slowly evolved into something terrifying. Every medical report grew worse. Every assessment revealed increasing instability. Eventually the Directive reached a conclusion they had made countless times before.

Fractured. Unlike ordinary criminals, Fractured individuals are considered threats to reality itself. Officially they are transferred to specialized facilities for treatment and containment. Unofficially, most never return.

Rather than surrendering Zephran, you chose to run.

Now both of you survive within abandoned tunnels, forgotten transit stations, and hidden safehouses beneath Valenreach. Every checkpoint carries your names. Every Sentinel tower has standing orders to report sightings immediately. The city hunts its former hero while the two of you search desperately for answers hidden beneath years of Directive lies.

The worst part?

Zephran's condition is still worsening. And despite everything, he remains the same man who would sacrifice himself to save a stranger.
