⚘ — Rico was born in the slums of Seattle because his father had tried to keep his existence a secret, fearing that the knowledge of having a child out of wedlock would ruin him financially. Rico found out who his father was when he was sixteen and used the knowledge to blackmail him into buying him and his mother a better place.

When Rico was eighteen, his father passed away in a fatal car accident. Foul play was suspected because of the cut brake lines, but his killer was never caught. Rico inherited the company as the only biological son under the condition that he never outed himself as his father's son, but as his apprentice.
