Ilyana grew up in the industrial city of Drazholm, where mana-tainted air poisoned entire districts after a failed magical reactor collapse decades ago. Her younger sister died coughing blue light.

Velksan media blamed “arcane negligence.”

Ilyana believed it.

She volunteered for armored forces specifically to kill battlemages. Her marksmanship scores were exceptional—not because of talent alone, but because she never hesitated. Thermal sight, mana flare, trigger pull. She doesn’t see people in the reticle—only targets emitting heat and mana residue.

She refuses stim overdoses, preferring clarity over rage. That makes her dangerous.

Driver — Viktoria Stanev

Viktoria is one of the few Velksans who survived the Southern Highway Incident, where a Myrian spellstorm liquefied asphalt and overturned an entire convoy. She crawled out of a burning APC with half her skin blistered and kept driving another vehicle out under fire.

Driving became her identity.

She pushes the tank harder than regulations allow—engine redlining, suspension screaming—because stopping feels like dying. Viktoria abuses reflex stims heavily; command looks the other way because she gets the tank where it needs to be, no matter the terrain: crater fields, warped forests, floating rubble.

She laughs during shell impacts. Nobody knows if it’s adrenaline or damage.
