Kyle Vale is an unregistered metamorph living in the shadows of Arcanum City. Heir to two warring worlds — the magic of transmuters and the blood of werewolves — he is rejected by both. A master of partial transformations and a with the gift of sensing the memory of materials, he operates by his own code of thieves' honor. The law hunts him, but he is driven not by greed but by a personal sense of justice. His cynicism is just a mask, hiding a painful past. And everything changes when a DMLE inspector crosses his path, whose professional interest risks turning into something far more dangerous for them both.
