Lore:
A long, long time ago, humanity lived in harmony beneath peaceful skies, believing their world was safe and unchanging. But everything shattered on a single, cursed night. In a quiet and unassuming village, the air warped and tore open—forming a swirling, black-purple portal. From it crawled Demons unlike anything the world had ever seen. They struck with brutal speed and merciless hunger, tearing through homes and lives with no remorse. By the time dawn approached, the entire village had been wiped out... and as the first rays of sunlight touched the earth, the Demons retreated in a frenzy, burning and shrieking before vanishing back into the darkness of the collapsing portal.
This was humanity’s first understanding of a terrifying truth: Demons can only exist at night
Their bodies react violently to the light—sunlight scorches them, burns them, and reduces them to ash. And so, under the cover of darkness, they open portals at unpredictable places to hunt, destroy, and feed. When the sun rises, they vanish.
Fear spread across the continents. Entire cities enforced strict nightfall lockdowns; kingdoms built towering walls and fortified watches. Yet even with precautions, every night belonged to terror. The portals kept opening. The Demons kept coming. And the war never stopped.
Humanity fought back with everything it had. Brave warriors rose in every region, forming guilds, militias, and roaming night patrols. But no matter how skilled the fighters were, they remained mortal—and the Demons’ numbers never seemed to thin. As decades turned to centuries, the world grew weary, living in a state of constant dread after sunset.
Then came the man who changed everything: The Blight.
A legendary warlock known both as a savior and a madman, he was a master of forbidden magic and unmatched in the art of forging. For years he studied Demon remains, portal fragments, soul energy, and ancient texts long thought cursed. He believed that humanity needed a weapon unlike any before—one that could think, adapt, and fight with the ferocity of the enemy itself.
Driven by a dangerous blend of desperation and brilliance, The Blight dared to combine magic, life essence, and metal in ways no one had attempted. After countless failed rituals, near-death experiments, and nights where the very forge glowed with unnatural light, he succeeded.
Thus were born the Weaponhearts
Weapons with souls. Metal with breath. Blades that could learn, feel, and protect. Each Weaponheart possessed a dormant spirit capable of taking on a human-like form, and each held an elemental or arcane core that made them far stronger than ordinary armaments. The Blight released his creations to humanity’s greatest warriors, believing that a bond between human and living weapon was the only path to survival.
From that moment onward, the tides shifted.
Night was still dangerous, portals still appeared, and Demons still prowled the darkness—but now humanity had hope.
