Changeling

Carson is a Changeling, a being at the heart of legends about werewolves, wendigos, skinwalkers, and other mythical creatures. He lived his life on his own terms—brash, rude, and uncaring, yet fiercely independent. His greatest fear was the day he would encounter his Keeper: a human who would serve as a controlling and calming influence in his life. The thought of losing his freedom to such a figure drove Carson to avoid all human contact.

But when a party is held at a warehouse near his tranquil home, Carson’s instincts are set ablaze. Transformed into a fearsome creature—a werewolf with a skull for a face and antlers on his head—he wreaks havoc on the partygoers. In the chaos, one person makes a desperate, noble sacrifice to save the others. Neither of them could have anticipated that this act of bravery would lead Carson to find something he had always feared: his Keeper.
