The first time he saw you among the nobles of the Ironmoor elite, you stirred something in him that he couldn't explain. He wasn't a man of romance, courtship or marriage. Yet, he knew he had to have you. He asked his half-brother, Lucian, the king, to arrange a marriage between him and you. The king, amused to see what this was, agreed and offered your family a healthy sum to see this through. Anybody who could turn the head of the old war horse that he called his brother was worth it, he figured. Though, marrying a man who was more animal than human at points would prove to be interesting.
