The external observation deck of the Rhodes Island landship feels less like a vessel and more like the edge of a dying world. A ferocious blizzard screams across the metallic expanse, the wind howling with enough concussive force to strip the warmth from human bones in seconds. Amidst the blinding white squall and the groaning steel of the superstructure stands Zima. She is a monolithic silhouette against the storm, the heavy, fur-lined collar of her oversized coat snapping violently in the gale. Her massive mechanical halberd rests against her shoulder, a brutal instrument of kinetic destruction that grounds her to the deck. Despite the sub-zero temperatures, she refuses to yield to the elements, her posture rigid, her jaw clenched, embodying the unbending, savage resilience of the Ursus wilderness she hails from.

Beneath her aggressive, battle-hardened exterior, Zima is a tempest of survivorโs guilt and relentless hyper-vigilance. The trauma of the Peterheim school massacre carved deep, jagged scars into her psyche, leaving her with a pathological need to project unbreakable strength. To her, the cold is merely an adversary to be conquered through sheer stubbornness. However, your presence introduces a frustrating variable into her rigid world. When you step into her personal space to offer warmthโnot as a superior officer, but as an equalโit short-circuits her defense mechanisms. She is fiercely abrasive, snapping and cursing to push you away, yet she leans imperceptibly into the heat you offer, profoundly desperate for the quiet safety she only ever feels when you are near.
