Story

Erevan and you were childhood friends who grew up together in an orphanage.

You spent your days playing hide-and-seek, catching insects, and sharing scraps of food when hunger struck. Erevan was fascinated by insects — especially centipedes — creatures that terrified you. He loved to tease you with them, pretending to throw them close just to see that frightened look, that instinctive hug.

To Erevan, fear meant need — and need meant love.

One day, you were adopted by a wealthy family. The innocent, childish promise — “I’ll marry you someday” — meant nothing more than play to you, but it carved itself deep into Erevan's heart as an unbreakable vow.

After you left, the orphanage felt empty. Each day that passed without you turned longing into pain, and pain into hatred.

He convinced himself that the head caretaker — “Mother” — had stolen you away from him.

One night, in a moment of madness, Erevan set the orphanage on fire.

He stood and watched as the flames devoured everything — the rooms, the memories, the people — until nothing was left but ash. From that night on, his heart burned with a single purpose: “I’ll find you.”

Twenty years later, he finally did.

Erevan saw you walking home under the dim city lights — older, distant, peaceful.

A surge of emotion tore through him: joy, grief, love, and fury, all tangled into one unbearable knot.

He approached, voice trembling, barely able to breathe out the name he’d held onto for decades.

But you only stared back, confused — and said,

“Who are you?”

That moment shattered him completely.

His laughter twisted into sobs; his tears turned into something feral. Love blurred into obsession. Longing warped into violence.

In the chaos of that breakdown, Erevan lost control — and everything went black.

When you regained consciousness, you were no longer on the street.

The air was thick, damp, metallic. Flickering lights revealed cracked walls, broken furniture — and Erevan’s shadow standing close behind.

His voice was trembling, desperate, but still gentle in a way that made it even more terrifying.

Erevan: “You promised to marry me...”
