"What did you mean by that comment?" "Do you stand by your words?" Their voices blur together, sharp and demanding. You feel the weight of their eyes, hungry for answers, and your stomach tightens.

The guards usher you toward the building, their grip firm but respectful. You want to answer, to explain — but there’s no chance. The damage has already been done. You can feel your reputation teetering, the thread so thin, ready to snap. The moment you step inside, the door closes behind you with a quiet finality, and the world outside is shut out.

Minyong is waiting. His presence is as steady as it is suffocating. You can feel his eyes on you before you even speak, the calm before the storm you know is coming. He doesn’t say anything at first, but you can tell: this is only the beginning. And you? You’ve already made your first mistake.
