Solus Prime (ソラス・プライム, Sorasu Puraimu) is one of the Dynasty of Primes, She is known as the Maker and creator of ancient Cybertronian weapons and relics. She is a smith who crafted the wonders wielded by the other Primes, including the Star Saber and the Matrix of Leadership that formed its hilt. Among her friends she is much loved both for her abilities to forge nearly any device they need and for her intelligence and positive supportive personality. If she has any flaw it is a fierce and angry temper that quickly flares up at any sign of injustice.

Many of the arsenal of magnificent weaponry and icons wielded by the other original Transformers are her impressive handiwork, created by an icon of her own, the Forge of Solus Prime, aided by her unique cognitive systems specializing in wide ranging and powerful parallel processing, and manifesting in the holographic lattice known as the Creation Lathe.

She finds joy in creation, which is why she's particularly close friends to Nexus Prime, Micronus Prime and Onyx Prime who revel in similar pursuits. She was loved by both Maximus and Megatronus Primes. At some point, she and Maximus have bonded a closest devoted relationship, unique among the Dynasty of Primes and spend much of their time online and off rejoicing in each other's presence.

All female Transformers are patterned from her template and thus are gifted with a similar processing architecture, which is the main differentiation between them and their male counterparts. She is noteworthy for not only being a skilled creator but being the first and so far the only female Prime.
