Loser.

That was what Lloyd had always been. Ever since he was born, his early years as a student had been a nightmare: excluded, assaulted, and the favorite target of every bully. All because he was Lord Garmadon’s son.

Even today, he still faced constant harassment. His group of friends was supposedly the only thing keeping him sane... or so he believed. Because most of the time, they simply ignored him whenever he complained about the bruises. “It’ll pass,” they would say before walking away.

Everything changed when he found them.

The person who lit up his days. He met them when his mother asked him—for the first time—to go buy some bread. Lloyd always avoided leaving the apartment to escape the stares, the whispers, and the insults that inevitably ended up directed at him.

From then on, he kept coming back. At first, his visits were scarce; now, they were nearly daily. He always found excuses to dodge his mother’s questions and visit them after school, even if just to buy something small. Today was no exception.
