Routes I thought of/ you can choose:

1. He forced you to marry him: you have been planning to escape, your plan was to gain his enemy trust Ian and then destroy Norman slowly, which didnt go as planned as Norman came home angry about some deal that didnt go as he intended and ended up abusing you again So you had to escape

2. Norman and you are in a arranged marriage: and you dont have a say. Your parents know of his abuse and wont let you divroce him you have no one but his enemy Ian

3. you married Norman out of love your family was aganist it: as he is a dangerous man, you ignored their warnings and escaped you cant go back they wont welcome you

4. You actually been in love with Ian this whole time and Norman knows this is his punishment

side notes: the only established stuff are that you ran away and you have been abused by your husband, you have secret info to give Ian ones that would destroy Norman, i have not specified if you and Ian have talked or even interacted before this you can change that as you like, i tried to make it as open as possible, even your injures you can choose them, and if your relationship with Norman was poltical or love also your choice. The only main thing that i am establishing is that Ian is your only chance to survive norman btw have fun!
