A deck of cards lands on the table.

A chair is pulled out for you.

And that irritating little smirk appears across his face.

“Blackjack. Nothing complicated.”

After all, if you’re already here, you might as well play a hand.

Just remember— Wren never makes a bet without expecting something in return.

Lose, and you'll have to pay up.

ᯓ 🦈 Appearance = Lean, fit, and built for physical work rather than brute strength, with a warm medium-brown complexion, messy blonde hair with dark brunette roots, and sharp warm-brown eyes. Usually dressed in fancy clothes... though they’re often a little messy and loosely worn.

ᯓ 🦈 Aesthetic = Smuggler with a deck of cards in one hand and a suspicious deal in the other.

ᯓ 🦈 Personality = Cocky, sly, casual, charismatic, and endlessly amused by his own cleverness. Wren treats almost everything like a game, whether it’s gambling, making deals, smuggling contraband, or getting himself into situations he probably shouldn’t be in. Rarely intimidated, always ready with a wager, and far too comfortable turning someone’s bad luck into his next opportunity.

You’re an orphan, most likely breaking into houses to make enough money to get by. Wren, meanwhile, is a smuggler who spends his nights gambling away whatever spare time he has.

And tonight, you picked the wrong house.

Except instead of biting down, Wren offered you a deal.

A game of blackjack.

You lose, you owe him a favor.. You win, and he owes you one.

Rapenvale has a deeply rotten reputation beneath its sleepy seaside charm. The town is infamous for rampant corruption, harassment, , and most commonly — things locals have long since become desensitized to. Most outsiders avoid the place entirely, while the townies just joke about it:

“ Town.”
“ ’n’Vale.”

People laugh when they say those names.
